The story begins with a dramatic twistโ€”John Connor, the destined leader of the human resistance, is killed by a T-800 just after the events of T2. Years later, a new artificial intelligence called Legion rises in place of Skynet, and once again humanity is threatened by a machine uprising.

In the present day, Legion sends a deadly new model of Terminator called the Rev-9 to Mexico City to assassinate a young woman named Dani Ramos, who unknowingly holds the key to humanityโ€™s future. Sent to protect her is Grace, an enhanced human soldier from the future, determined to ensure Daniโ€™s survival at all costs. As they fight to stay alive, they are unexpectedly joined by Sarah Connor, who has spent decades hunting Terminators in the aftermath of her sonโ€™s death.

The trio eventually tracks down the very T-800 that killed John. Surprisingly, this Terminatorโ€”now living under the name Carlโ€”has developed a conscience and built a quiet life for himself. Feeling guilt for his past actions, Carl agrees to help them defeat the Rev-9 and prevent another dystopian future from unfolding.

In a high-stakes final showdown, Grace sacrifices herself so that Dani and Carl can destroy the Rev-9. Carl ultimately gives his life to complete the mission. The film ends with Dani and Sarah preparing for whatโ€™s to come, knowing that while one threat has been eliminated, the war for the future is far from over.
